Hello, I'm State Representative Marc Corriveau. Instilling a love for reading in our children while they're young will help pave their way to academic success. The best way to do that is to read to them. When you read to your children, you help them become lifelong readers. In today's fast paced world it can be hard to find time to spend with our kids. Take a 30-minute break from your day and spend some quality time- sit down and read with them. Through books, you and your child can explore the world - without even leaving your living room. Celebrate "March is Reading Month" with your kids and start a new family tradition of reading together.

I thought that the Governor did a nice job. I like how she started the speech off as a leader, bringing people together. I think, considering what we've gone through in the last year, I think that it was appropriate to ask for us to put some of that behind us and work towards solving some of Michigan's problems. So, I thought that that was a good way to start.

The middle of her speech focused on alternative energy, which I think is going to be a way for Michigan to diversify, that's something that I've learned in the last 13 months, it's excited me from the beginning and I think it's a real way for Michigan to move forward and get jobs here and if we don't, we're going to be caught behind. So I think that it's going to be important for us to focus on that.
