LANSING – State Representative Marc Corriveau (D-Northville) today applauded the decision by the Michigan Economic Growth Authority (MEGA) to approve more than $7 million in tax credits for Secure-24 Inc. to expand its Southfield headquarters and locate a data center in Plymouth Township.
"I would like to thank Secure-24 for making this investment in our community and our economy," Corriveau said. "This comes as great news for all the people of Plymouth Township and its many skilled and talented workers. This undertaking will help us continue to create jobs, strengthen our economy and come out of these trying times stronger than ever."
Secure-24 Inc. was one of 11 projects approved recently by MEGA for a tax credit valued at $7.1 million over 10 years. The Southfield-based information security and managed hosting services provider plans to invest $3.7 million and create 263 new jobs, according to the Michigan Economic Development Corp.
"Secure-24 is the exact type of investor our state needs," Corriveau said. "They help show potential employers that Michigan is open for business."
