LANSING – State Representative Marc Corriveau (D-Northville) is urging residents to attend the second annual Green Street Fair in downtown Plymouth running Friday, May 1, through Sunday, May 3. The free event offers family-friendly entertainment and educational activities for residents of all ages to learn about the benefits of green, organic and eco-friendly products and services.
"The Green Street Fair is an excellent opportunity for the community to come together and learn about ways we can help pass on a healthy state and planet to our kids," Corriveau said. "I encourage everyone to get out next weekend and enjoy the green festivities and learn what Michigan is doing to take advantage of renewable energy to save consumers money and create jobs."
The Green Street Fair was started in 2008 as a way to help educate and inform people about green products and services through a blend of companies, artisans, entertainers, workshops and speakers. Last year's Green Street Fair drew an estimated attendance of 90,000 people, with more than 150 exhibitors and 40 sponsors.
